Determine the project category and business area you wish to improve, such as business strategy, digital transformation, productivity enhancement, branding, or process optimisation.

Engage a Suitable Consultant or Vendor

There are no pre-approved vendors for the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG). However, for management consultancy-related projects, businesses are encouraged to engage qualified consultants with relevant expertise and experience.

For consultancy-focused projects, consultants with Singapore Accreditation Council-accredited certifications such as TR 43 or SS 680 may strengthen the application assessment.

Prepare Your Project Proposal

Before submitting your application, prepare the necessary documents including:

  • Project proposal and scope of work
  • Business objectives and expected outcomes
  • Quotation from vendor or consultant
  • Supporting company documents
  • Financial information (if required)
Ensure the Project Has Not Started

Projects must be new at the point of application submission.

Your project is considered commenced if any of the following has already happened before applying:

  • Work has started
  • Payment has been made to a vendor or consultant
  • Contracts or agreements have been signed
Submit Your Application via Business Grants Portal (BGP)

Applications are submitted through the Business Grants Portal (BGP) using your Corppass account.

Businesses without a Corppass account must register before proceeding with the application.

Application Review & Clarifications

Enterprise Singapore will review the application based on:

  • Project scope and relevance
  • Expected business outcomes
  • Capability of the selected vendor or consultant

Additional clarifications or supporting documents may be requested during the review process.

Approval & Project Commencement

Once approved, businesses may proceed with the project according to the approved scope and funding conditions.

The Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) is a government support scheme by Enterprise Singapore that helps Singapore businesses grow and transform. It supports projects related to business strategy, branding, digital transformation, productivity improvements, automation, and overseas expansion.

How much funding can I receive?

Eligible SMEs may receive up to 50% support for qualifying project costs, while selected sustainability-related projects may receive up to 70% support during the applicable support period. Funding typically covers consultancy fees, software, equipment, and internal manpower costs.

How long does approval take?

A complete EDG application usually takes around 8 to 12 weeks for assessment and approval. Processing time may vary depending on the complexity of the project and whether additional clarifications are required.

Can startups apply?

Yes, startups can apply if they are registered and operating in Singapore, have at least 30% local shareholding, and are financially capable of completing the proposed project. However, businesses with clearer growth plans and operational traction generally have stronger approval chances.

What projects are eligible?

EDG supports projects under three main categories:
